The Xanga Office’s Illness
The Xanga team has been blanketed by illness. We’re not sure where it started, (and we’ve seen signs that its actually multiple illnesses) but it has been rampaging through the office. Here’s the break down of the office:
Sickies (ordered by who snuffled first):
- Bharat the only one with the sense to stay home when he got sick
- Bob potentially our ebola monkey
- Joe me! Sore throat and Coughing
- Dave possibly has strep throat. Gross!
- Patrick minor sniffles
- Ben minor sniffles (probably contracted from Patrick)
- Joel minor sniffles (probably contracted from Ben)
- Eugenia struck down today! Sore throat and Headache.
- Stephen struck down today!
Healthies (and why I think they’re still healthy)
- Chris the son of a doctor – germs fear retribution
- Natalia too busy answering e-mails to be exposed to germs
- Ayca pure luck. My guess is that she’s the next one to go.
- Janet germaphobe – wipes down everything with Clorox wipes
- Mikey also a germaphobe – compulsively washes his hands
- Dan has a wall constructed of monitors to protect him
- Jon spends all his time working in the back room
- John has already been sick once this year
- Marc not human, and thus not subject to human diseases
- Justin has been wearing a particle mask since last Friday
- Amy works in a private office – so she’s avoided the contaminated air
- Mary works remotely – so she’s far from us sickies
- Adam wears a goatie, which acts as a particle filtration system

@joseph - I cut it close each morning getting myself to work on time as it is… and you guys are way far from me (I’m in the southern-most part of the financial district)! Hmm…

@joseph - how big of a dork does it make me that I’ve actually thought this through and already know it wouldn’t sustain itself or me and I’d go bankrupt?? I know, a pretty big dork.
OKAY… in my defense when you preview the mini, it doesn’t show you what it’s going to do or say. SO I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS GOING TO SAY “I’m full of salty goodness” zOMGs.

@joseph - You’re the mini creator! You should put a warning on them. Like have a section x rated or r rated (sexual innuendo) or whatever. Hmphs.
@moonbunny - if you put your mouse over the preview, it runs the full animation. However, I think I prefer the surprise messages. ^_^
@Natalia - I was getting a little sick, but I think your bubble of AWESOME grew to my side of the office and cured me
@Ben - nice! now all we have to do is bring our powers together a la captain planet and cure the entire office.
one thing joe is not sharing is that he got me extremely sick (with hallucinations!) two weeks ago. i’ve been afraid to eat any meat since!

I wish I had a pet monkey, even if it meant that I had to have a crappy power like heart.
@Michael - that could be arranged – there has to be a petsmart by the office somewhere, right?
Hahaa I love this entry! This is the first time I’ve had a cold since winter 2001. The xanga virus is very strong. =(
Hope everyone gets better. Your reasons for the healthy are a good chuckle.
